This marvelous chalet cuckoo clock pays tribute to the goats wild cousin, the ibex, who prefers the more vertical, rugged terrain above the snow line. Male ibex are famous for their imposing, backward-curling horns. In the scene presented here, we see two male ibex facing each other. Are they going to lock horns? Quite the contrary. Upon hearing the happy sound of our cuckoo bird the ibex leap into the air gleefully. The chalet is very similar to the one found in 'Leaping Goats', with a pair of deeply verdant pine trees on either side, and window shutters painted a striking red to match the eaves. Movement runs for one day before you need to wind up the chain. Ibex who leap into the air with the sound of our bird’s cuckoo. The figurines are hand-carved and hand-painted, which makes each one of them original and unique. A manual switch that allows you to turn off the cuckoo without affecting the clock’s movement.
